EV Charging Solutions

What is EV charging solution?

The term EV Smart Charging refers to a system capable of monitoring, using and limiting the use of charging devices to optimize energy consumption. These systems can be managed by the user (User Managed Charging, or UMC) or by the supplier (Supplier Managed Charging, or SMC)

A charging station, also called an EV charger or electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), is a piece of equipment that supplies electrical power for charging plug-in electric vehicles (including hybrids, neighborhood electric vehicles, trucks, buses, and others).

What Services We offer:-

1) HARDWARE

Currently, there are three different levels of charging through which one can charge an electric car mentioned as under:

Level 1 EV charging: At 120 volts.

Level 2 EV charging: At 240 volts.

Level 3 EV charging:  The level 3 charging for electric vehicles is what one will find at public charging stations. Called as DC fast charging, it converts the AC current, into DC current for direct storage in electric vehicle batteries. It is usually rated at 480 volts.

We as a company hold our expertise as a supply chain for different types of EV CHARGERS, both AC and DC as per the requirement of the client. We assist them by providing the most feasible and value added product depending on their application by prioritizing the safety measures as well as quality output of the hardware.

2) SOFTWARE

A content management system (CMS) is a computer software used to manage the creation and modification of digital content The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) is an application protocol for communication between Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and a central management system, also known as a charging station network, similar to cell phones and cell phone networks.

Its aim was to create an open application protocol which allows EV charging stations and central management systems from different vendors to communicate with each other. It is in use by a large number of vendors of EV charging stations and central management systems all over the world.

OCPP also makes it easier to create a large-scale, visible network that uses a range of different charging stations since there is a requirement for only one operating system. Proponents of OCPP also cite a reduction in development costs since software designed to provide additional functionality would only need to be developed once and not several times to fit with each individual operating system.

We as a company provide software solutions through our associates for all our EV chargers Installers and ease their working in tracking the use of their chargers and also help them in monitoring the payment status for the charging made through the hardware. This assists the charger owner to keep a proper data for the total usage time of the chargers.

TYPES OF CHARGERS

Four types of plug exist, two for AC (type 1 and 2) and two for DC (CHAdeMo and CCS).

  • Type 1 is common for American vehicles, it’s a single-phase plug and can charge at a speed of up to 7.4 kW.

  • Type 2 is standard for European and Asian vehicles from 2018 onwards, it’s a triple-phase plug and can charge at a level of up to 43 kW.

  • CCS is a version of type 2 with two additional power contacts. It allows very fast charging.

  • CHAdeMO can be found in Asian cars and allows for high charging capacities as well as bidirectional charging.
